Holistic Birth & Postpartum Care with Heart

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are sacred seasons—meant to be shared, not carried alone. Across cultures and throughout history, the transition into motherhood has been honored as a powerful unfolding. What we now understand as matrescence was once embraced through community, ceremony, rest, and storytelling—woven into the rhythms of life.

Today, many women feel the quiet call back to that kind of care. Whether you're preparing for a VBAC, longing for a redemptive birth experience, are an excited first time mama or simply sensing that this season holds deeper meaning—you're not alone. My approach blends grounded, holistic support with space for reflection, intention, and the unseen threads that make birth so transformative.

About Me
Aunty, Doula, wife

Birthwork found me in the most natural way—through family. When my sister-in-law became pregnant in 2020, I instinctively stepped into the role of her support system, witnessing firsthand the profound power of being held through the birthing and postpartum process. It was then that I realized: we all need an Aunty, someone who tends to us as we cross the threshold into motherhood. Whether it’s your first time giving birth or your third, each journey is a new initiation, and no one should navigate it alone.

From the Red Tent gatherings of ancient Middle Eastern cultures to postpartum traditions like la cuarentena in Latin America, new mothers were surrounded by a circle of women, supported and nourished as they stepped through pregnancy & postpartum into their new role. You are meant to be held in this same way—nurtured, seen, and celebrated in your full humanity. Whether you’re preparing to birth for the first time or returning again, you deserve care rooted in intuitive knowing, nervous system attunement, and ancestral wisdom.

“I Had an amazing experience working with Lauren as my birth doula! She is truly compassionate, empathetic, and advocates for her clients' best interests. Her presence is so warm and gentle and, at my birth, not only was she a comforting presence but she also helped ensure my doctors were checking in on me in a timely manner. Anyone would be lucky to have Lauren as their doula!”
